Great to see positive chemical free methods being used in Balerno

BUT looking Edinburgh wide -Which streets will still have Glyphosate applied to in Edinburgh 2025 and which won’t?

Understandably most people in Edinburgh

, concerned parents, dog walkers, animal lovers , potential weeding volunteers need to know more specific locations

Edinburgh Council reassure the public using terms like :

‘certain streets’ ‘certain areas’

-But How does a mum warn her youngster not to play in a ‘certain area’ ¿

-How can a pet owner choose the safest alternative route when they don’t know where that is¿

-How can a volunteer possibly weed their street/area manually, if they don’t know if harmful chemicals have been recently applied by CEC? Or are due to be ¿

CEC do KNOW where they apply this chemical in pubic spaces

but the public DO NOT KNOW …

Vague, non specific answers coming from our decision makers , should ring alarm bells

Where there is reluctance for transparency and confusing misleading reassurances , the only thing you can do , is to have it confirmed that at the very least , outside your house , your street will not be doused in Glyphosate or any other harmful chemicals.

If EVERYONE were to do this , we could effect change for the good
