Some of us may have seen photos of signs like these(out on the street / grass)
‘Warning recently pesticide treated areas’
BUT here in the U.K. we would rarely if ever see any of these warning signs Too Frightened of alarming the public , councils generally avoid use of hazard suits and signage! (How Thoughtful!)

How are our children playing at the local park , on the grass , walking on the pavement supposed to know a particular area has just been treated with cancerous toxic chemical Glyphosate
How are we pet owners supposed to know the area our dog has just been investigating and chewing on , has just been sprayed with Glyphosate
It is tricky to avoid something when you don’t know where it is!!
CEC decision makes are well aware of locations of applications and the risks but they are not the ones taking them
Workers who apply and the public, the very people taking the risks each day should be the ones given the information so as to assess their individual risk and be able to decide whether to take it or not.
Following the principles of the Precautionary Principle we should , if there is any doubt to safety -remove the unnecessary danger altogether
‘Signs’ warning us of pesticide use is NOT the answer , does not make it acceptable but at least we would be aware of the excessive use (despite claims to the contrary) and could choose ourselves to avoid or object , if that was possible
Of course the most viable option for
Health
Environment &
Councils
is to stop Glyphosate and switching to Safe Alternatives !
