Precautionary Principle

August 2022

When something like the safety of Glyphosate is questionable we should take the ᴘʀᴇᴄᴀᴜᴛɪᴏɴᴀʀʏ ᴘʀɪɴᴄɪᴘʟᴇ .

The Precautionary Principle enables decision makers to adopt Precautionary measures when scientific evidence about an environmental or human health hazard is uncertain and the stakes are high

When there is a risk to harming health and environment we should act with care and caution.

Independent scientists , from all around the world strongly agree that Glyphosate is very harmful to Human health & The Environment . The entire goal of ᴘʀᴇᴄᴀᴜᴛɪᴏɴᴀʀʏ ᴘʀɪɴᴄɪᴘʟᴇ is all about applying caution where there is doubt/ debate over the safety of a product.

This helps us avoid irreversible damage to

•Health

•Waterways

•Soil

•Pets &

•Environment

Glastonbury Council taking the Precautionary Principle 2016

With so many ways to safely remove weeds on our streets & pavements this is the 1 simple area we can change.

There really is no valid excuse for councils not to apply the ᴘʀᴇᴄᴀᴜᴛɪᴏɴᴀʀʏ ᴘʀɪɴᴄɪᴘʟᴇ and start to introduce safe alternatives.

Thank you Edinburgh Council for being health & environmentally conscious by applying the ᴘʀᴇᴄᴀᴜᴛɪᴏɴᴀʀʏ ᴘʀɪɴᴄɪᴘʟᴇ in Balerno

Making Health & the Environment a priority will never bring a council into disrepute but win worldwide applause
